Biography

Melissa is a Department Assistant in the Child, Youth, and Family Studies department at the University of the Fraser Valley. She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of the Fraser Valley and her Masters in Adult and Higher Education from the University of South Dakota. A highlight for Melissa after completing an online Masters program was flying to South Dakota to attend the convocation ceremonies and meet her instructors in person.

She enjoys working with students and helping them achieve their educational goals. Melissa has worked at UFV since 2007 and has worked in a variety of departments including Trades, the Office of the Registrar, Upgrading and University Preparation, and Financial Aid.   

Her interests include being outdoors, hiking, running, soccer, yoga, travelling, and being with her two young children, her family, and friends.
