Biography

Gena (she/her) is the Academic Advisor for the UFV School of Education and a Certified Career Development Practitioner with the BC Career Development Association.

Recognizing the unique characteristics, circumstances, and trajectories of each student, Gena upholds an advising approach that empowers individuals as experts in their own development. She coaches students to explore options, resources, and supports for their educational and career pursuits. Gena encourages students to take initiative, cultivate experience, and forge meaningful connections across our campuses and community. She emphasizes life-wide and lifelong learning to navigate and thrive in an ever-evolving, interconnected world.
