Applying to the BEd program involves several steps. We've included a checklist below to help you with the process.

- Submit your application (opens Oct 1, deadline: Jan 31)
Go to EducationPlannerBC to apply. - Send UFV your official post-secondary transcripts (deadline: Jan 31)
- Have your transcripts sent to UFV Admissions.
- If you're a current or past UFV student, you don't need to request UFV transcripts.

- Complete a four-year bachelor's degree (courses completed by April)
- Your degree should be from a recognized institution.
- Your coursework should include 12 credits of 300- or 400-level courses in teachable subject areas (English, math, science, physical education, social studies, French, visual arts, and theatre. See entrance requirements for more info.)
- Send official transcripts to UFV Admissions after your credential is recorded (around June).
- Complete education breadth courses (courses completed by Dec 31)
- 3 credits English composition
- 3 credits English literature
- 3 credits of Canadian history
- 3 credits of Canadian geography
- 4 credits of an approved laboratory science course
- 4 credits of Math for the Elementary School Teacher

- Send official transcripts to UFV Admissions by Jan 31.
- Complete 2 Education courses (courses completed by April)
- 3 credits Educational Psychology
- 4 credits Teaching and Learning Practices

- Send official transcripts to UFV Admissions when grades are recorded (around June)
- Send us your resume (deadline: Jan 31)
- Email your resume to admissions@ufv.ca.
- Go to 'How to Apply' and expand the BEd accordion for resume guidelines.
- Ask for two references to support your application (deadline: Jan 31)
- Send your references the Referee Form to fill out.
- Ask them to email the completed form to admissions@ufv.ca.
- English language requirement (deadline: Jan 31)
- This applies to you if you studied at a recognized university in a country where English is not the official language of instruction.
- Send a copy of your IELTS or TOEFL scores to admissions@ufv.ca.

- Interview (typically scheduled for March)
- You will be invited to an interview if you have met all academic requirements.
- We will send you an invitation via email.
