Advancing your career as an educator with an MEd

If you intend to upgrade your career prospects in the education industry, you have come to the right place. UFV offers a unique Master’s program in Educational Leadership and Mentorship. This program will give you the chance to sharpen your teaching skills and/or position yourself for leadership roles in education. In order to be eligible, you must have a valid teaching license in British Columbia and have been teaching for two years.

How is the Master of Education program organized?

  • 30 credits, part-time over seven-semesters
  • classes are cohort-based

  • Theory and practice
  • Policy
  • Research methods
  • Capstone project of your choosing

What kind of career in education can I pursue?

  • Department head
  • Grade group leader
  • Mentor for pre-service teachers

  • BCTF curriculum and research initiatives

In addition to a pay increase and category upgrade, as per the TQS, this course will also prepare you for doctoral-level studies.
