About the Student Rights and Responsibilities Office (SRRO)
The SRRO helps students and employees navigate and resolve conflict with the goals of:
- repairing harm
- restoring relationships
- maintaining a safe and respectful university community
We emphasize student accountability and learning by engaging with allegations through the lens of education and development informed by student development theory.
This office engages in collaborative approaches to conflict resolution, assisting students in developing their conflict capacity, and facilitates informal options to resolving harm, centring student agency, and repairing harm.
The SRRO approaches academic and non-academic misconduct through an anti-oppressive lens, understanding intersectional identities, and systemic biases that cause unequal outcomes for some.
