What is it all about?
Student Life's Summer Leadership Retreat is an initiative of the Coast Capital Savings Student Leadership Institute. It is an annual event for students and alumni at University of the Fraser valley.

What happend at the retreat?
First, students heard from our motivational guest speaker and enjoyed a savory dinner together to kick off the weekend. Over the next two days, they attended a number of interactive workshops on topics such as goal setting, followership and conflict resolution that really honed their leadership skills. We also planned a special day trip to Omada – teambuilding grounds, where students challenged their body and mind as they went through low and high ropes courses. Come on who doesn’t like climbing trees? And did we mention there was plenty of fun activities including a BBQ, movie night and charades?

What did the students get out of it?
Besides having an amazing, fun weekend with their peers, students discovered a whole new world of leadership. They were inspired and energized, but most importantly they gained friendships and memories that will last a life time.
