As hubs for knowledge, research, and innovation, universities are driving progress towards sustainability. The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is no exception. Our Office of Sustainability is pursuing a clear mission:
“Driving meaningful partnerships that support a sustainable transformation towards the well-being of our communities and ecosystem.”
To help fulfill this mission, UFV recently became a signatory of the SDG Accord. The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promote prosperity while protecting the planet. Signing the Accord is a critical step forward — one that shows UFV's commitment to the well-being of our students, staff, and community.

The Sustainable office certification program empowers sustainability champions from participating departments to improve the sustainability of their team's office space.
Every year, UFV hosts March for Sustainability: a series of events addressing topics such as climate change, biodiversity, EDI, and gender equity.
