As of 2023, UFV was awarded the STARS Silver Rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from AASHE.*
STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, & Rating System) is a program of AASHE where universities report their actions taken towards sustainability.
The comprehensive tool measures and encourages sustainability in aspects of higher education, including:
- Academics
- Engagement
- Operations
- Planning and Administration
- Innovation and Leadership
By achieving the Silver rating, UFV has demonstrated significant progress in each of these areas. We are excited to continue improving this score in the future!
