Building envelope upgrades

Project overview

he design and condition of a building’s envelope, the part of a building that separates the interior and the outdoors, directly influences the energy demands and efficiency for heating and cooling of the building. Continued focus to upgrading and maintaining building envelopes has been key to energy needs on campus. The latest upgrades include upgraded exterior finish, energy efficient windows, and new pipe and wall insulation on Building A and Building D.

Project features

• Performing the new external envelope -Total Building A area: 5046 m2 – Total Building D area: 5,740 m2
• continuous external mineral wool insulation, air barrier and new windows to increase overall R values.
• New exterior cladding to extend building life and protect building structure
