This six-hour hands-on workshop covers basic pruning techniques applicable to a wide variety of plant material. Participants work on different trees, ornamental shrubs, and a fruit tree to learn to make proper cuts. Dress for the weather and bring your own pruners, such as secateurs or loppers.

Discover how related plants have similar patterns for identification. In this hands-on session, you will learn basic plant patterns and practice methods that will enable you to identify plants everywhere you go.
Two Saturday Field trip costs are not included in tuition.
The approximate cost for each field trip is $15-$20.
One field trip to Van Dusen Gardens in Vancouver, other TBA
Transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the student.
