CHASI’s subject matter experts engage with community collaborators in activities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Program evaluation
  • Assist with needs assessment, implementation evaluation, outcome/impact evaluation, cost-benefit/cost-effectiveness evaluation.
  • Policy analysis
  • Conduct policy analysis within organizations and work with organizations to better engage with policy challenges and opportunities at all levels of government.
  • Quantitative research
  • Conduct research including collecting data through survey design, data analysis, and more.
  • Qualitative research
  • Conduct research including gaining insight through interviews, focus groups, and more.
  • Professional development and training
  • Provide opportunity for better understanding and utilization of equity, diversity and inclusion strategies, research and evaluation methods, leadership models, research software, and more.
  • Keynote speakers
  • Help find and organize professional keynote speakers for events or courses.
  • Practicum and intern placements
  • Support student matches for placement opportunities in the Hub and with our community partners and collaborators.
  • Research Assistant Development Program (RAD)
  • Students will work with a senior researcher to design a job description that supports the development of the student’s interests and academic and professional skills in concert with the needs of the funding partner.
  • Geospatial Mapping
Utilizing geographic information system software to visualize research results and represent information using spatial representation.

  • Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
  • A remote sensing method used to study subsurface anomalies. GPRs operate in the same manner as radar by sending electromagnetic (EM) pulses into the ground in order to identify shapes, sizes and locations of subsurface features. GPR is a non-invasive method of detecting buried objects or substances in a nonconductive material through the use of UWB radio waves. Learn more about GPR and how it can be used for research projects.
