Biography

I was born and grew up in Bogotá, Colombia. I have a Bachelor Sc. in Industrial Engineering but switch my career path around 10 years ago to work in my passion which is teaching Spanish. I have experience teaching and tutoring Spanish privately as well as in group settings to people with different backgrounds.

I hold a certification from the Externado University in Colombia to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language and a community interpreting certificate from the Vancouver School of Interpreters.

I joined UFV MOLA Department last February 2023 as a Spanish Seminar assistant.

"In my first year I realized that my passion was with French and it was something that was super enjoyable. I wasn't fluent to begin so it was a lot of work and effort but at the same time it was very rewarding. It opened my eyes to a new culture and a new way of life.
