(Up to 2500 words, a more detailed entry may be required to deal with topics such as, for example, a provincial setting) This type of entry would be in the nature of a general description related to the setting or circumstances of Canadian adult education. Such entries might have an orientation which is historical, sociological, political, economic, etc. For example, entries of this nature might include an examination of the history of the public policy or legislative framework for adult education in a particular provincial jurisdiction. As another example, an entry of this type might be represented by an overview of adult literacy initiatives in Canada. Such entries would be distinguished from the Project, Event or Conceptual entries, in that an entry in this category would be written so as to provide a descriptive backdrop or general background description which captures something of the sweep of a particular aspect of the Canadian adult education setting.
