Emma is currently a Regional Extension Project Manager with the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food, facilitating climate and environment focused extension to agricultural producers across BC. Prior to working with the Ministry, she was with the BC Dairy Association for five years, she worked directly with dairy farmers and service providers on the proAction program, in addition to managing dairy research funding with partners across BC and nationally.
Emma earned a B.Sc. in Applied Animal Biology from the University of British Columbia and an M.Sc. in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics, and Law from the University of Glasgow. Following her Master’s, she lived and worked at the UBC Dairy Education and Research Centre for a year and a half, conducting a research project on dairy cattle housing with the UBC Animal Welfare Program.
Emma teaches AGRI 331 - Dairy Herd Management: Science & Practice at UFV. She is excited to support the future of agriculture coming through the doors of UFV.
