Biography

Dr. Seo, a PhD from the University of Minnesota (2008) and a Fulbright scholar, joined the University of the Fraser Valley in 2012. Before joining the Department of Economics, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in CIHR PCONet (Primary Care Oncology Network) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba and a research associate at the Division of Continuing Professional Development, University of Manitoba. Dr. Seo also taught at the College of St. Catherine, USA (Lecturer, 2004-2007) and the University of Winnipeg (Visiting scholar, 2010-2011). His research interests are in health economics and applied labour economics, particularly health disparity (gender and race), social determinants of health, economics of cancer, and cancer survivorship. Dr. Seo teaches Econ 352 Technical progress and Economics Growth; Econ 397 Health Economics; and Econ 398 Development Economics.

Research Interests

Dr. Seo's research interests are in health economics and applied labor economics, particularly health disparity (gender and race), social determinants of health, economics of cancer, and cancer survivorship.
