email KateWith 25 years of experience working in amateur sport, Kate is a Chartered Professional Coach with the Coaching Association of Canada and a certified Master Coach Developer in the National Coaching Certification Program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley, a master’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia, a PhD in Interdisciplinarity from the University of New Brunswick and a Diploma in University Teaching, also from the University of New Brunswick. Her areas of expertise include teaching, learning, and assessment for those in sport and education leadership with a focus on empowering program leaders. While her sport background is primarily in gymnastics, Kate now enjoys running at an ultra-slow pace. Kate firmly believes in collaborative learning processes and the right to wear comfortable clothing at all times.
The kinesiology program has not only exposed me to the theory, but has equipped me with a vast amount of practical knowledge, applications, and tools to use in the future. This program has led me to pursue a career in medicine where I can have a positive impact on other and help them live a healthy life.
