How to use automatic ordering within a branch

Automatic ordering is a great feature if you want your sections to appear in alphabetical order or if you want to order them by date.

  1. Go to your site structure.
  1. Click on the name of the parent section.
  1. Click on the More tab.
  1. Click on Child sections. Now you see all the sections that live under the parent section you are editing.
  1. Click on Enable automatic ordering. A drop-down menu where you can choose your ordering method (A-Z, Z-A, Last Updated) will appear.
  1. Select the sections that you would like to reorder by clicking on the corresponding checkbox on the right-hand side or select them all by clicking on the top checkbox.
  1. Click on the Bulk Actions button, and select Bulk unlock.
  1. Note: The content blocks are locked by default so your content doesn't accidentally get reordered.
  1. Select your preferred ordering method from the drop-down menu.
  1. Note: If you change your mind, you can use the Undo last action or Undo all actions buttons to revert back to the original settings.
  1. When you are satisfied with the order of your sections, click Save changes.
