Biography

Michael Anaba (He/Him) is a Registered Nurse and Assistant Professor in the School Health Sciences, BSN program with extensive experience in Surgery, Pediatrics, Public Health, and Geriatric Nursing. Presently pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of New Brunswick's Faculty of Graduate Studies, Michael's research focuses on immigrant health, and the well-being of Black communities. His current research endeavor is supported by the SSRCH and the Canadian Nurses Foundation. Michael finds solace in traveling and outdoor activities, especially on warm summer days.

My educational philosophy entails recognizing that each student possesses distinct learning preferences and requirements, necessitating adaptable teaching approaches. It also entails nurturing an inclusive and respectful classroom atmosphere where every student experience appreciation and backing.
