Biography

Tasha joins us from her role as clinical coordinator and case manager with BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services. She originally completed her focus in nursing on the internal medicine unit however later found her true passion working with mental health and substance use services. She has worked in a variety of mental health/psychiatric, forensic services, and corrections facilities. Furthermore, she also has experience in OAT, ECT, and working with children and youth.

Education

Tasha has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Northern British Columbia (Prince George) and a Master of Nursing degree with a focus on leadership and managing change in healthcare from Thompson Rivers University (Kamloops).

Teaching Philosophy

Tasha believes in a strength-based approach when it comes to learning. She strives to nurture and identify the abilities of each of her student. Tasha also believes in transformational and lifelong learning. Through these philosophies she hopes to encourage personal growth and achievement through her students’ educational journey!
