As students can make initial PLAR inquiries through a variety of people, they may approach faculty in class or during office hours without having anything prepared.
Educational Advisors in Student Services or program specific advisors can explain the PLAR process and provide resources to students so they are better prepared to meet with faculty to discuss their academic PLAR potential in relation to their skills, knowledge and abilties.
Faculty Remuneration
Faculty assessors will receive their PLAR remuneration in the semester the PLAR takes place or at the beginning of the next semester depending on the circumstances of the PLAR.
