Get your Carpentry Red Seal
Carpentry is a nationally designated trade under the Skilled Trades BC Interprovincial Red Seal program. Earning your Carpentry Red Seal Endorsement marks you as a skilled worker, opening job opportunities for you across Canada.
The Carpentry Apprenticeship program consists of four levels of training with seven weeks of in-school training in each of the four levels.
You attend a seven-week training program each year. Classes are designed to include both theory and practice. The program prepares you to write the Interprovincial Examination leading to final Red Seal certification.
If you are not currently working as an carpenter, you may consider enrolling first in UFV's Carpentry foundation program to gain the entry-level skills needed to secure employment. As a graduate of the program, you get advanced apprenticeship placement when you find an employer to sponsor you.
Please email trades@ufv.ca if you have any questions.
