Get your Plumbing Red Seal

Plumbing is a nationally designated trade under the Interprovincial Red Seal program. Earning your Plumbing Red Seal Endorsement marks you as a skilled worker and can open job opportunities for you across Canada.

UFV currently offers apprenticeship Level 2 (Harmonized) for the Skilled Trades BC Plumbing Apprenticeship program.

If you are not currently working as a plumber, you may consider enrolling first in UFV's Plumbing Foundation program to gain the entry-level skills needed to secure employment. As a graduate of the program, you get advanced apprenticeship placement when you find an employer to sponsor you.

Entrance Requirements

• Registered as an apprentice with Skilled Trades BC
• Plumbing Apprenticeship Level 1 Skilled Trades BC certification

Steps to apply

1. Submit an online application through the UFV portal for the Plumbing Level 2 Apprenticeship program.
2. You will then receive an email, to the email address you submitted on the application, asking for additional information (technical training level required, Skilled Trades BC apprenticeship no., sponsor/employer, etc).
3. You will then be scheduled for the next available intake.

Apprenticeship Tax Credits

If you are enrolled in an apprenticeship program administered through the Skilled Trades BC, you may qualify to receive grants and subsidies.

There are also tax credits available for employers sponsoring students through their apprenticeships.
