You are invited to celebrate UFV’s Convocation ceremonies at the Abbotsford Centre, located at the edge of the Abbotsford campus.
Which ceremony should you attend? You're assigned to a Convocation ceremony based on your academic program.
Use our social media celebration toolkit to help you share your moments online with family and friends. Share your experience on social media with #UFVConvo and tag @goUFV.
A virtual celebration wall has been made for each of UFV's faculties. Make a post on your wall to celebrate with your fellow classmates, professors, friends, and family. Share your favourite UFV stories, memories, and well wishes for everyone to see.
Choose from a variety of UFV-personalized items such as wine, rings, clothing, and frames to mark this special moment in time.
You will notice that many of your Convocation materials feature UFV's coat of arms. The coat of arms includes symbols of Stó:lō Indigenous culture, local wildlife, and elements of the Fraser Valley landscape. The featured motto, “IYAQAWTXW,” is in the Halq’eméylem language of the Stó:lō and means “house of transformation,” reflecting UFV’s mandate as a place of change — of intellectual and character transformation.
