Two-Year Engineering Program Plan

Some students decide to take two years at UFV and take all 14 courses of the Engineering Common Core program plus second-year math courses and additional electives before they apply to transfer. These students are admitted into the Bachelor of Science (not the Engineering Common Core Certificate program) and do not get reserved seats in engineering courses. They are considered "competitive entry" students when they apply to UBC or UVic and must have a higher, more competitive CGPA for admission.

Head shot for student reviews

The UFV Mechatronics program was the perfect way for me to gain the hands on skill necessary to handle the design and detail work necessary for engineering. The instructors of the program personally invested to encourage me in pushing myself to complete large projects and set ambitious goals, which prepared me for continuing into further education and research.
