The curriculum for UFV Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies is design to align seamlessly with UFV's Institutional Learning Outcomes.
Graduates of the Peace & Conflict Studies program will be able to:
- identify and interpret the relationship between social conditions and conflicts
- apply the current theories and methodologies in the field
- evaluate the roots of conflict in the Fraser Valley region, and in numerous other realms
- demonstrate conflict transformation skills and mediation skills
- employ strategies for reconciliation
- interact in a culturally responsive manner
- design strategies for developing the social, political, economic, and ecological conditions for peacebuilding
- reflect critically on their own positionality and its implications during conflict and peacebuilding contexts.
