In common is an interfaith initiative hosted by the Peace and Reconciliation Centre (PARC) at UFV. It combines a live Speakers’ Series and a podcast, creating space for open, respectful dialogue across religious, spiritual, and philosophical traditions.
Rooted in PARC’s mission to support peacebuilding through dialogue, in common was envisioned by Dr. Allyson Jule as a way to spark conversations that reflect the depth and diversity of our UFV community. The goal is not debate, but mutual understanding and honest sharing that helps us see both what connects us and what makes each tradition unique. By exploring how faith intersects with real life, the series aims to build bridges across belief systems and worldviews.
Through both campus events and podcast episodes, in common invites students, faculty, and community members to engage with religious ideas in an open-hearted, curious, and critically thoughtful way. Because even in difference, we can often find something in common.
