As a post-secondary institution in the lower mainland of British Columbia, UFV recognizes the diversity of its population, the importance of creating and implementing equity, and exploring the ways in which inclusion can and should take place. The President's Task Force on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) was formed in 2019. One of its first goals was to develop an EDI Action Plan informed by research on the current state of EDI at UFV and effective EDI practices. The 2020-21 Action Plan has now been launched:
