Apply and pay the application fee

Apply online. For information regarding application fees, please see the Registrar's Service Fees.

Be sure to select the program's name, found under the Trades dropdown on the online application.

Applicants currently in Grade 12 may apply during their Grade 12 year. See learn a trade in high school for more information.

Submit additional documents

Submit high school and/or post-secondary transcripts to the Office of Registrar (OReg).

Students currently in Grade 12 may apply during their Grade 12 year. A statement from the school counsellor or principal, indicating that you are likely to meet the entrance requirements by June, must be presented to the Trades & Technology Centre.

Check your application status

Check your application summary online using your myUFV account and submit any missing documentation to the Office of the Registrar.

Missing the math requirement? Contact the Trades Department.

Missing the english requirement? Contact the Office of the Registrar.

Wait for the next intake in which there is space

Upon meeting the program requirements, you will be waitlisted for the program's next start date. Note that you will be added to the waitlist in order of the date in which all entrance requirements are met.

Approximately three months prior to the program start date, we will begin offering seats.

Before classes start, we will contact you with registration procedures. If we cannot reach you after three attempts, your seat will go to the next applicant on the list.
