Kulwant has been with UFV for over 35 years, both as a student and an employee. She started out as a library technician in the UFV library, moved into the Upgrading and University preparation department as the UUP Program Advisor, and currently works in the Advising Centre as the Academic Advisor for the Adult Education programs:  BA Adult Education; Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate (TESL), Workplace Education Associate Certificate, and the Integrated Learning Design Associate Certificate.  She also advises for the Bachelor of Social Work and the Social Worker Service Diploma programs.

After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree with a sociology/anthropology major at UFV, she went on to complete her Master of Arts in Integrated Studies with a specialization in Adult Education  at Athabasca University. Recently, she completed the Mindfulness Based Teaching and Learning Graduate Certificate.

She loves the outdoors and is passionate about hiking, walking, yoga, meditation, and gardening. One of her favourite quotes is: “Never stop dreaming, never stop believing, never give up, never stop trying, and never stop learning.”
