Vanessa brings a variety experience to Advising, from high school teaching to post-secondary work. She began her education at UFV, when it was still the University College of the Fraser Valley, and transferred to UBC to graduate with a BSc in Mathematics. She also obtained a Bachelor of Education at UBC.

Before starting at UFV, Vanessa worked as a substitute teacher in the Fraser Valley (and overseas in Australia). She began working at UFV as the Co-op Coordinator, Science & Technology, in 2012. She has been advising since 2013, and enjoys working with students of all ages as they move forward in their educational journey
