UFV Continuing Education Funding

UFV Continuing Education offers top-quality programs and courses that fit around your busy schedule. Funding for these programs can vary as not all are eligible for government student loans. 

Government Student Loan Funding

For Continuing Education Programs that are eligible for government funding, a student loan may be a smart option if your program will boost your earning power.  Government student loans exist to supplement, not replace, funds available to students through work, savings/assets and family resources/income. Applicants will also be assessed for federal and/or provincial student grants - money that does not need to be repaid.

Visit StudentAidBC.ca to find out if you are eligible. First time applicants will be required to register with StudentAid BC and complete a verification prior to having access to an application.

Due to the disbursement schedule of student loans, students with an approved student loan may require a fee deferral to register for their program. Contact Financial Aid & Awards for details.

Continuing Education Bursary Application

For Continuing Education Programs that are not eligible for government funding, UFV offers the Continuing Education Bursary Application.  This bursary is needs based and can provide up to $1000 per academic year towards Continuing Education tuition fees. 

Must be taking a Continuing Education course/program that can lead to employment, funds are limited. Complete the application and bring in to the Financial Aid & Awards offices in Abbotsford or Chilliwack.

UFV Bursaries

Registered attending Continuing Education students may also qualify for a non-repayable grant called a bursary. Applications are open at set times each semester - for details and application information contact Financial Aid and Awards.
