Welcome to UFV and to S’olh Shxwlèlí, “Our Place.”

Here are some important first steps to take to start your first year off right.

 

New student checklist

Find your registration time

You will receive an email to your UFV student email with instructions on how to view your earliest registration term and date in your myUFV account. The timing of the email depends on the term you are enrolled in:  

  • Fall semester: you will receive the email in late April 
  • Winter semester: you will receive the email in late October 
  • Summer semester: you will receive the email in late February

Participate in Tl'etl'axel: Student Orientation

Start your semester well! Gather with your fellow students at Tl'etl'axel: Student Orientation to learn about what you need to succeed at UFV, explore campus life, and celebrate the beginning of your studies.

Get your student ID

Your Campus Card is your official university ID, library card, and more.

 

How to get your campus card

Get access to your supports and services

  • Student services and supports available: Visit Student Services to learn more about the learning, cultural, and personal supports available to you a UFV student.

  • Transit pass: Your student fees cover a U-PASS, giving you access to transit and more. If you have a Government Bus Pass, you can opt out to get your fees back during specific times. Learn more about U-Pass and opting out

  • Health & dental: Health and dental coverage is also included in your student fees. If you already have coverage, you can opt out to be reimbursed


 


Support for Indigenous students

Book a meeting with a Transition Student Coordinator

Wednesday advising sessions at the Indigenous Student Centres (Abbotsford or Chilliwack. Drop in or make an appointment.

Participate in student engagement and cultural activities organized by our Indigenous Cultural Wellness and Support assistant.

We also have Elders and Knowledge Keepers in Residence if you require cultural support.
