Biography

Sanja Garic-Komnenic holds a PhD in film and theatre semiotics. She has taught courses in academic writing, film, theatre, and urban studies. Her research articles have been published in the American Journal of Semiotics and the Pacific Rim Review of Books. Sanja translated two books into English, Footprints: Poetry and Threads of Poetical Impression (2008 Trafford Publishing, Ed. George Payerle) and the novel Chernovs’ Toil and Peace (2010 Publish America. Baltimore, Ed. George Payerle). She is currently working on a book about film and theatre adaptations, which will be published in 2024.
