Aviation programs relaunch

Launch your career in aviation

In 2024, we upgraded our aviation programs to give you the best possible start in the dynamic aviation industry. What hasn't changed? UFV’s comprehensive programs continue to provide you with the training and industry connections you need, whether you aspire to be a pilot or work in the business and management areas.

Why join our School of Business aviation programs?

Steer your own flight training

Take your Private Pilot License and Commercial Pilot Licence training at the flight school of your choice to earn your Transport Canada certifications and licenses. You can complete the Aviation certifications and licenses before, during, or after your UFV courses, and you can switch flight schools if you wish.

Earn UFV credits

UFV acknowledges the commitment needed to become a pilot. Your PPL and CPL training form a core part of the curriculum and earn you a minimum of 30 credits toward your diploma or degree. If you complete two additional ratings (Multi-Engine Instrument Rating, Instrument Rating, or Instructor Rating), you earn up to 6 additional credits toward the degree program.

Gain experience with co-op

Elevate your Aviation journey through UFV’s co-op opportunities, gaining real-world experiences in the aviation industry. Build valuable industry connections and unique learning opportunities.

Broaden your expertise

Your courses at UFV will give you a solid foundation in core business skills — from marketing, to accounting, to human resource management. If you continue in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), you'll develop more advanced business expertise and delve into specialized aviation courses on topics such as airline management, airport planning, and international air transportation.
