The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre integrates performance studies and creative practice to ensure graduates have a strong and diverse foundation in theatre. Students in any program can add an extended minor, or minor.

BFA with extended minors:
The extended minors program in our BFA is unique in BC, providing students with the flexibility to explore multiple areas of creative arts practice or critical studies. Do you want to work in curatorial studies? Combine Art History and Visual Arts. Planning to write graphic novels? Try Graphic Design and Creative Writing. Pairings can be chosen from six disciplines:

Completing a two-year associate degree will provide you with the knowledge and skills to continue in the UFV Bachelor of Arts program, transfer to other institutions, or seek employment.
The Theatre diploma is a two-year, 60-credit program that enhances your performance and technical theatre skills while deepening your appreciation of theatre. It can be the first step to a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre.
Explore the creative arts part-time or full-time. Graduates can ladder all 60 credits of this program into the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
VFS-UFV Pathway Agreement
The University of the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Film School partnered in 2017 to create the VFS-UFV Pathway Program. This cross-institutional agreement provides VFS diploma graduates with 60 credits toward one of four UFV degrees:
- Bachelor of Media Arts (BMA)
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)
- Bachelor of Integrated Studies (BIS).
