Cyrus Chaichian is a Business Management expert with extensive leadership experience in the Aviation industry. He has served in multiple senior management roles for world class airlines. Cyrus holds a Master of Science in Business from New York City’s Columbia University.  He brings this experience and education to his more than 25 years of post-secondary teaching.

Seeing them as the future leaders of society, Cyrus treats his students with the utmost respect and care. He enthusiastically reinforces the applicability of theories by sharing relevant stories of his own work experience, while keeping students up to date with new trends in an ever-changing environment. While recognizing individual accomplishment, Cyrus fosters teamwork and motivates students to learn from each other and take advantage of the benefits of a collaborative work environment. He strongly believes that a teacher is most effective by encouraging, empowering, and celebrating the achievements of his students.

Cyrus teaches Organizational Behavior and two of the four Aviation Management courses that he developed for UFV’s Aviation Program: BUS 360 International Air Transportation and BUS 460 Airline Management. He regularly updates every syllabus to ensure his courses reflect the most current and best practices.
