Web Time Entry (WTE)

Web Time Entry will allow timesheet employees to submit their timesheets online, through the Employee Centre, using any modern device – PC, mobile phone or tablet. Timesheets will be available from anywhere with an internet connection.

  • Co-op Students
  • Lab and Research Assistants
  • Research Students
  • Work Study Students
  • Time sheet/Hourly Faculty
  • Continuing Education & Industry Training Instructors

What are the benefits of moving to Web Time Entry?

  • Employees can make changes to timesheets before submitting for approval
  • Due to the self-service nature of the system, employees have more accessibility and control over their timesheet
  • Users and Approvers can review historical timesheets (back to start date on WTE system)
  • There is 24/7 access to current timesheets from anywhere with internet access
  • Timesheets cannot be accessed by unauthorized employees, making them more secure
  • Timesheets cannot get misplaced or omitted
     

The Payroll Department is in the process of transitioning hourly timesheet employees onto Web Time Entry.

As individual setup is required prior to employee’s ability to access and utilize this improved timesheet process, Payroll will be reaching out to eligible employees and their supervisors/approvers and provide support to transition onto the system over the next several months.  We encourage hourly employees and supervisors who approve hourly employees’ timesheets to review the documentation and videos below in preparation of moving onto the new system.

Web Time Entry users will need to reference the new WTE pay schedule, applicable only to Web Time Entry timesheets.
