The Office of the Registrar schedule for submission of Graduands to Senate for final approval:

  • September
  • October
  • November
  • February
  • March
  • June

Internal process to support graduation application

  1. Student submits Graduation Application in myUFV
  2. Approver identifies applications pending review through Fast Student
  3. Upon completion of review of the student record the (final) approver will update the approval in Fast Student.
    • If review of the student record is required by multiple areas (e.g. field of study, Graduate Studies), only the final approval should be updated in Fast Student
    • If the student does not qualify to graduate the Advisor is required to communicate this to the student
  4. OReg updates the student's graduation application record according to the approval provided
  5. Students who have successfully completed program requirements and been approved to graduate are submitted to Senate for final approval 
  6. OReg updates the student's graduation application record to indicate the credential has been awarded
  7. The graduate's parchment is prepared for pick up and they are notified at their UFV email address
