Q: How do I schedule an exam for the courses I am teaching?
A: Scheduling will send an email to all faculty at the beginning of the semester, providing the option to complete the Final Exam Request form. For Winter 2025, emails will be sent the first week of January.
Q: When is the submission deadline?
A: Faculty requiring a synchronous final exam in Winter 2025 must complete their request no later than Friday, January 17th.
Q: How do I know my submission was received?
A: Upon completion you will receive an automatic reply showing the exams requested. The email and PDF attached will serve as confirmation that your request for final exam(s) was received. If you do not receive a confirmation receipt by email from scheduling@ufv.ca, your submission was not complete and it will need to be redone.

A: No. There will be no time adjustments.

A: The exam schedule is published approximately 4 weeks after classes start.
Q: I am a new hire, and did not receive the email at start of term. What do I do now?
A: For ease of access, the Final Exam Request form can also be located under Faculty Forms and within Faculty Services on myUFV.
Important information regarding exams for online courses:
- Requiring in-person final and mid-term exams for online courses should be avoided where possible as it may make it difficult for a student to attend.
- If you require assistance preparing your exams for remote learning, please contact askTLC@ufv.ca.
REMINDER: Senate has adopted guidelines that stipulates “For all semesters, students and academic staff are expected to be available for the full set of sessional dates until the final exam schedule is published.”
