Attend a portfolio info session

The portfolio info session introduces the creative industry and UFV's Graphic + Digital Design programs. Instructors, students, and grads will share program info and stories, provide feedback and advice on portfolios, answer questions, and offer tours of the studios and labs. Attendance is not mandatory for the program application but is strongly encouraged.

Submit your portfolio

Follow the portfolio submission guidelines carefully. In addition to 10 to 15 pieces of creative work, include your résumé and two reflections, as outlined in the guidelines. Submit your portfolio using Slideroom. Incomplete portfolios may compromise your acceptance into the program.

Portfolios will be reviewed on an ongoing basis at the end of each month, starting January 31, 2019. The Graphic and Digital Design Diploma is a limited intake program with 20 seats available each fall. Please submit your portfolio as early as possible for the best opportunity for a seat.

Domestic applicant portfolio deadline: Monday May 20, 2019

Interview: Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview. International or out-of-region applicants may be interviewed online via Skype or Google Hangouts.

Notification of Acceptance

All accepted applicants will receive a letter of acceptance from the Office of the Registrar. To accept your offer and secure your seat in the Graphic and Digital Design program, pay your $200 registration deposit. View payment methods.

Register for courses

Registration for fall 2019 courses takes place after the admissions process is finalized, typically beginning in mid-June. Follow the steps to find out how to register and use the myUFV portal to find your pre-assigned registration time.

Note:

  • Equipment requirements (MacBook Pro laptop) will be finalized in July 2019. New students will receive an email notification.
  • Fall semester begins on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
  • New diploma students are required to attend two mandatory GDD lab orientation sessions taking place in September on the Mission campus (dates and times are coming soon).
