Overview

Below is an overview of the Board of Governors and Senate election procedures.

Call for nominations

The call goes out in January and remains open for three weeks.

Nomination results

Nomination results are collected and communicated:

  • Single nominations for a position are acclaimed.
  • Multiple nominations for a position go to an election.
  • No nominations go to an extended call or remain vacant.

Election announcement

An announcement goes out that includes the candidate statements, campaign and voting dates.

Election campaign

The campaign lasts four weeks from the time nominations close.

Vote

Voters receive ballots and have 3-4 days to vote.

Election results

Results are communicated to candidates, governing bodies, and the UFV community.
